Apologies, Visitors, Trips, and Newspapers, Oh My!

First is apologies. I'm sorry I haven't posted since forever. So many things have been happening!

Next is visitors, namely Michelle. She was our first ever visitor, and it was great hearing a new voice that doesn't have an accent. Anyone else want to come? I'd love it for one of my friends to come.

Now trips. For break we went to Ireland! I saw cities, countryside, and tons of castles. I even stayed in a B & B attached to a castle. I also kissed the Blarney Stone! It's supposed to give you the gift of gab. I wonder if it worked?

Finally newspapers. This will take a while.  Our school's patron, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, came! She was there because our school did this huge thing for the National Osteoporosis Society. I got to meet her. Twice. She even remembered me from the first time when I met her for the second time. All these paparazzi were there and of picture of me in a newspaper!

Miss you all,
Lena ; )

Museums

I've been going to many museums these days. Last week I went to the natural history museum. Yesterday I was at the awesome transport museum. See the pattern? Today I stayed home and watched the snow fall. Yes, snow in London. I know it's crazy, but apparently global warming is affecting the gulf stream (which is the only thing keeping England from freezing), and so if this continues and the gulf stream gets colder or whatever, we will get snow. I'll make it simpler.
Global warming + Gulf Stream + England's Rain = State College. Get it now? Good, I'm tired of typing. Oh, yeah, I forgot about school! There's this super cute little 4-year-old named Janice and I always play with her. She's Japanese. I love little cute toddlers. They make me happy. What about you? I'm also drawing portraits as a fundraiser for a thing my school is doing. Well, I have to go now, I think Rosie is out of the bath; I'm on her computer. Miss you all!!!! xoxo!!!!!!

London's turning out to be okay.....

Hi! I'm really sorry I haven't been posting. So far school's great. Rosie and I are doing the trip to school alone now. Today the whole family went out to the National Portrait Gallery. We also got to do some brass rubbings, and I did a really cool elephant. I discovered a huge box of legos in my room and have been playing with them all week. In school three grades, including mine, are doing a musical of The Snow Queen! On Wednesday we find out our parts! I'll try to blog more often in the future, to keep everyone updated.

Tate Modern

Let me start with yesterday. Not much happened on Friday, except Rosie and I had some great crepes. Back to today. Today I got some awesome finger puppets at a market. The whole family went out to the Tate Modern museum. It was freezing cold on the walk there, but we were fine. After that, we went to a great ramen noodle place, called Wagamama. The art at Tate was awesome, but I didn't get to see the whole thing. I'll go back sometime when it's warmer. I bet it's colder here than it is in State College.

First day of school

Today was my first day at the Royal School. It was so fun that I didn't want the day to be over! I met lots of new friends, including one really nice girl named Poppy. The whole class really likes my accent, and they get me to say stuff, like 'banana' or 'hot'. So far, this is the best school I've ever been to. Today we had drama class. That was cool. Plus, the food is really great, and the meat doesn't bounce! Maths was kinda easy, since we're doing fraction stuff that I learned in 3rd grade. Tomorrow we have different things, because it changes. There's trampolining, which should be fun. In the classroom, there are no desks, just tables. We keep our stuff in drawers. Every morning we have assembly, and there is a different theme each time. We finish each one with the school song. That's all for now! Go play some netball!

A tiring day out

Today was very.......interesting. At least the weather was. It snowed, sleeted and hailed. Plus, half of the time there was sunshine. Other than that, we had a very successful day. First we went to Liverpool Station to get Rosie's and my Oyster Cards, which are for the Tube. Then we went back to Angel and rode the Tube down to some station that's above ground. From there, we took a Double-Decker bus to the uniform store, and got our uniforms. They're pretty cool. Then we took another one of those Londonly unique buses to that same station we got off of, and took that all the way back to Angel and then to Hampstead to see the Royal School. Check this out; for one term, they're putting me in year 5, for the second one, year 6. Then Rosie and I checkedout some shops. After that, I was tired enough to go back home. Tomorrow my Mom promised to take me to a park, so I can meet my first hedgehog! I'll post tomorrow!

Finally Here

At last, we are in Islington. The house is awesome, and I get my own room. There's around 5 floors, and the master bedroom is on the top floor. My parents have t0 walk down 2 flights of stairs to get to a toilet! No hedgehogs yet, but I'm gonna find some. Remember to follow this blog. All you need is a Google account. Comments are good, too. Keep checking, because tomorrow is a really busy day. We will be sightseeing, getting our uniforms for school, and seeing the Royal School. It's as cold as State College here, so don't think I'm lucky with the weather. See you at my next post!
